Lawyersville and Sharon Reformed Churches

We Worship - Sunday mornings, and in special season services in cooperation with area churches, through music, prayer and preaching of the Word of God.

We Learn – In Church School and Small Group Study, in seasonal studies, in prayer and various interest groups.

We Share – We uphold one another in prayer, whether in our community or to the far reaches of the world. We carry out community-wide mission, caring for the sick, the poor, the hurting, providing pastoral care for all kinds of needs.

The Lawyersville Reformed Church was founded in 1778.
The Sharon Reformed Church in 1771 (making it older than our country!). Generations from several families continue to worship in their home church.

We invite you to join us in worship.  Lawyersville worships at 9:00 A.M.
Sharon worships at 11:00 A.M.  During the school year, Sharon has Sunday School for all ages, at 9:30 A.M.

We believe God has something special in mind for you, that God can give your life purpose and meaning, and fill your heart with hope and joy.

Lawyersville and Sharon Reformed Churches: “We are small in number and big in heart.”

Introduction to the Reformed Church in America
Who we are - The Reformed Church in America (RCA) traces its roots back to 1628, with a worship service above a grist mill, in what is now New York City. The denomination was mostly Dutch right up to the 20th century.  There are now many multicultural congregations, including Korean, Taiwanese, Hispanic, Native American.  The RCA now has about 1,000 congregations, including Lawyersville and Sharon Reformed Churches and 170,000 members, in the U.S., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada.  are members of the RCA.
What the RCA believes – We believe that Jesus in the Son of God, Lord of creation, and the Savior of all who believe in him.  We believe that Scripture is the final authority for our faith and living, so we help people apply Scripture to their everyday lives.  We believe the historic Christian faith as confessed in the Apostles’ Creed.
RCA Mission Statement – “The Reformed Church of America is a fellowship of congregations called by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the very presence of Jesus Christ in our world.  Our shared task is to equip congregations for ministry – a thousand churches in a million ways doing one thing – following Christ in mission, in a lost and broken world so loved by God.”
